Using Flash

Photography Tip
Remember the use of flash is not just for indoors when its dark, one of the main reasons for using flash is outdoors on a really sunny day and you are trying to take a photograph of say a group of people.  You would generally have them face away from the sun and use the flash to get the exposure matched with that of the background.

Getting down low

Photography Tip
When taking a photo of a child or even a wildlife picture of a small animal or bird consider getting down low to take it, as this would not only give you a better picture of the child or the subject you are photographing but the background would be captured better and make the picture look more interesting.
Check out the example here if I had not got down low the background would probably be mostly sand and maby a bit of sea and I would not have seen my daughter face as clearly.
And here is a example taken with a pair of mallard ducks
